If you’re like me, you’ve often wondered how to find the world’s most expensive hotel. Or the most expensive train ride. (And balloon ride for that matter.)
Well, not really. But it’s fun to dream and drool from time to time.
Thankfully a friend turned me on to The Most Expensive Journal, a curious compendium of all things outlandishly over-the-top, like Marden Palace in Antalya, Turkey ($18,000 per night), The Golden Eagle Trans-Siberian Express ($22,195 for a 15-day trip), and the Krug is in the Air bespoke balloon experience ($70,000).
There’s a whole panoply of categories besides travel, too – million-dollar diamond crusted fishing lures, anyone? how about a $1,000 ice cream sundae? – so for anyone lucky enough to suffer from a surfeit of cash these days it’s like a one-stop bling shop.
And for the rest of us: if this doesn’t cause a spike in lottery sales nothing will.
