Because having your own girl’s academy, magazine and wholly branded television network isn’t enough, United Airlines unveiled The Oprah Winfrey Show Farewell Season Plane in Chicago earlier this week. In true diva fashion, the Boeing 757 is newly painted from nose to tail with imagery from The Oprah Winfrey Show. Onboard, passengers will notice interiors decorated by Oprah herself as well as a video welcome from the Queen of All Media reminding you to buckle up.
United will fly the plane on various domestic routes through May 2011, when the star wraps up her long-running talk show. Until then, passengers are being asked to not tear apart the seats in search of a taste of Oprah’s famous largesse. “Those cushions are flotation devices,” a spokesperson said. “The FAA would never allow anyone to hide car keys or prizes in there. Even Oprah”
